When I landed in Casper last week, it was lunchtime and I was starving after a long morning of travel.

Knowing my love of diners, my friend took me to the perfect place – Johnny J’s Diner. This is a terrific silver sided diner complete with a counter, baked goods displayed in pretty cases and cool memorabilia on the wall.

It’s typical diner fair – burgers and fries, grilled cheese, pot roast, liver and onions and even broasted chicken.

The service was quick and friendly and my grilled cheese and fries were pretty tasty. But I could have made a meal out of the chocolate marshmallow shake. It was divine.

The milkshakes come in tall glasses and the overflow is brought in the stainless steel mixing cup with a long spoon for your enjoyment.

If you’re ever in Casper, looking for some quick and tasty comfort food, I would highly recommend Johnny J’s. It’s a feast for the the eyes as well as the taste buds.
