I honestly believe that you and I are twins separated by birth (and about 50 yrs)!!! I am constantly on the lookout for old barns, shacks, tumbled down cabins, AND antique farm implements.
Just after we moved down south there was an old dilapidated farm house at an intersection just down the road, It was scheduled to be torn down to make room for a strip mall. I procrastinated for several months and finally, as the tractors were pushing dirt around, I got down there w/my trusty Nikon D-70S and shot about 150 images. They are still on my hard drive!!! Guess I’ll have to get the book out on Photoshop Elements 6 and learn how to do the magic!
Thanks for sharing the photos. Great stuff.
Haha. I’m so glad you enjoy my pictures and ramblings.
I’m also happy that you got to preserve images of that old farmhouse. I have almost a compulsion to record at risk scenes like these old barns and even things like old school phone poles and electric lines which are starting to disappear from the landscape.
Play around with those pictures. Maybe you’ll learn something along the way and will have fun in the process. 😉
