Spider Web

Spectacular things can happen when you take your camera off auto settings and do some work for yourself. I have no formal photography training and it shows but I do enjoy playing and had fun with this spider web during a hike this weekend. The automatic function and auto focus on my camera couldn’t handle this situation but a little work turned out a decent preservation of what I saw.

Isn’t it interesting how the light plays here?

Spiders creep me out and I don’t tolerate them at home but we can peacefully coexist in the woods. In fact, I’m fascinated by their webs. This one reminds me of the lace doilies that my grandmothers made and used.

The experience made me think it’s time to take a workshop or maybe an online class to help me better understand what I’m doing.

Is there something you wish you did better? There’s no time like the present to embrace learning and improvement!
