Great shot, Brandi! I have always wanted to go to Arches NP with a bag full of color film (now I’d use the digi camera) and about a week just to wander and shoot at dawn and dusk. Well done, my friend.
How;s Scout doing?? Our two felines are asleep right now. One on our bed and the other down in the lower hallway near the cat food (imagine that!!!). Our newe Dachshund puppy loves to torment them when he can. I caught him cleaning Herbie our solid white cat, the other day. What a pair.

Thanks so much! You know, Arches wasn’t even on my radar until my western adventure pal said “we have to go.” And I’m so glad she did.
We had a week to roam around, getting up early to watch the sun rise and exploring the landscape till lunchtime when the heat and the crowds started to become too much.
If you’re in the area, check out Canyonlands too. There are three sections of this park – one really close to Moab and another about 45 minutes or an hour south of town. It has one of the darkest skies in the country and is great for stargazing. We were there for a meteor shower that we got to enjoy for about ten minutes before a dark cloud moved in to hover over us!! Haha. It was still fun.
Scout is great. He’s stretching and yawning as I write. He’s been doing better at sleeping though the night and I am grateful.
And honestly- what good is a puppy if not to torment the older siblings?
I think I’m serious overdue for some outdoors time.
I’ve been watching a guy on YouTube, his channel is called Over The Hills Outdoors. His videos and his voice are like the old 70’s nature shows I watched when I was a kid. He just goes out in the middle of nowhere and does his thing. Nothing exactly spectacular but it’s just so awesome to watch lol. Just makes me want to be outside!
Yup. Time to get outside! Go forth and breathe fresh air!
