Still no measurable snowfall here in southern Ohio but we did receive just enough Monday night to make the roads messy.
I scurried out before work yesterday to feed Scout’s hungry birdies so he would be entertained while I was busy. He spent most of the day luxuriating in the window like it was prime time television. We had dozens of birds on the yard and I did grab a few pictures with the camera. You’ll have to settle for a phone snap today.
The birds were thrilled for the meal and Scout was pleased to have so much commotion outside his window. It’s the small things that make a huge difference in quality of life for me, Scout and for those hungry little creatures outside our window.

How nice to have cardinals at your feeder! We don’t get them here. I also enjoy our feeder birds. Our sunrise view always makes my morning special. Always. Small thing that matters so much to me.

Hello back at you! I wish I had gotten more done, but all is on track. Our most plentiful birds are dark-eyed juncos. We get finches and siskins, Stellar and scrub jays, magpies, chickadees and nuthatches. Sometimes woodpeckers. Also spotted towhees, though they stay on the ground waiting for spills.🙂
I toss food on the ground for some of the smaller guys that can’t compete with the blue jays and the cardinals. The squirrels like it too!
There are never enough hours for all we want to do so “on track” sounds like an accomplishment.
I rarely see cardinals where I live in western New York . We have not had any snow. None is forecasted yet, but we are getting plenty of rain.
