The world is a mean place sometimes, especially where black animals are concerned. They’re typically the last to be adopted, the subject of superstition, and often the most at risk of abuse or torture.
My little bat cat is mischievous and temperamental at times but he’s also a sweetheart. I can testify that black cats really are the best little friends.
There are no evil cats but there are evil humans. Keep your black animals indoors and safe this Halloween. From me and my bat cat, have a safe and happy day.
Black was always my first choice in pets, not that color really matters. Obviously hair and fur color does not affect temperament.

Scout is very adorable. I actually wanted a black cat. I ended up with an orange kitty though. He came from brother-in-law’s farm and he was the only kitty in his litter and likely wouldn’t have survived the winter. And he was just so fluffy and cute. I couldn’t say no.
They do have that power over us, don’t they? My kitties have always chosen me and it’s a good feeling when they find you.
