As much as I enjoy color photography, the best way to rescue a mediocre picture is by changing it to black and white.
There was nothing pretty about this cold day last March but I really appreciated these structures that are close together in the Morgan County, Ohio countryside.
I think black and white saved the day!

I often do the same if I’m somewhere and the lights, or at least the colours, have been flat – often it’s the difference between getting something usable or not. Plus, it looks cool too with the right subject.

Far from it, it’s a really useful thing to be able to do when you’re somewhere and need a photo – I’ve also been known to turn the camera’s sepia setting on quite often too!

I fear that it’s going to be a long time for us. Everyone here is becoming impatient and careless so a second wave will likely hit. 🙁
