If anyone enjoys my Christmas vacation more than me, it’s this guy right here. Scout loves the days that I stay home and am available to him. Even if he ignores me, it seems to soothe him simply having me around.
It’s back to reality for us both today as I return to work and we resume our routine. Wish us both luck! He’s going to be an angry boy.
Have you ever thought about getting him a companion cat?
I have but he doesn’t strike me as a cat that would take kindly to a stranger in his home. I think it would do more harm than good in a few ways.

I work from home so I’ll be HERE, but she wants me sitting in the livingroom so that she can stretch out on my lap all day. Can’t sit on my lap when I’m at my desk. Sorry kitties, we’ve gotta earn money to pay for your food!
Lol. Yes! I work so I can give him a good life! Scout won’t sit on my lap but he likes me in my comfy chair where he can curl up for a nap. The desk is a terrible place for napping!
