Rogers, Ohio has a population of just 194 on most days but that number soars when the Rogers Community Auction and Flea Market opens for business every Friday.
This institution has been going strong since 1955 and is rooted in tradition. You’ll find livestock ready for auction, beautiful produce, and a wide range of wares for sale. They have 1600 vendor spaces including a bunch inside buildings and under pavilions.
There’s also plenty of food including the very best donut I’ve ever eaten. This Amish made yeast donut with a delicate maple glaze represents a core memory from the trip. It would be worth the drive back just for a chance at another.
They even have space for events and live music.
We didn’t make it around to all the vendors but we did our best. Nichola left with several treasures and I left with lots of pictures and memories as well as a couple of treasures.
It’s easy to see why Rogers is a destination for folks who live in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Wheeling and all points in between. I would go often if I lived closer because it’s just such a fun treasure hunt!
