Found Treasure

Last week I shared a picture of the windmill at Colonial Williamsburg. That same day, this book resurfaced in my house. It’s the 1955 official guidebook of Colonial Williamsburg. It came with a large color map and thorough description of the town and each building’s history.

Whoever used it wrote his name on the cover but took remarkably good care of the book, making it a fun piece to just flip through.

It feels like a real treasure.

Windmill At Colonial Williamsburg

This is a recognizable sight for anyone who has been to Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia. It’s one of the first things you’ll see upon entering the village from the visitors’ center and always a welcome sight.

I’ve been here a few times and seem to always learn something new and discover something I missed the time before. If you haven’t been, it’s a great destination for all ages.
