This is not my cat and I didn’t make this graphic. It was passed around on Facebook last year, origins unknown. Nonetheless, it sums up his attitude most days.
I’m starting to think of little Scout as a tiny terrorist. His favorite thing to do right now is to walk in front of my computer. When I move him, he bites me.
It’s great.
But when he’s sleepy, he’s the sweetest little cat you’ll ever meet. If only he would stay that way!
Cats, especially, pick up on our moods very quickly. This quarantine has everyone upset, me (and my 2 cats), especially. Gus-Gus, our big gray rescue who is normally so laid back I have to check his breath with a mirror just to be sure he is still breathing! Over the last several weeks he’s been very agitated with all of us, especially our new Dachshund puppy, Buddy. Herbie, our pure white hunter, is normally very intolerant with our three dogs and Gus-Gus. He now comes in, snuggles up with the Dachshund, and wants tummy rubs. Go figure. At any rate, hang in there, Brandi, and cut Scout a lot of slack. He’s just very sensitive and worried, just like the rest of us.
Lol. What a zoo your place sounds like!
I would be delighted to report that this is quarantine related but it’s just his personality. From the time he was a tiny tot, the only way he knows how to communicate is purr, nuzzle sweetly or bite!
He is actually loving this right now because I’m home. The poor guy has pretty bad separation anxiety so he’s much calmer with me at home. Even my going to the bird feeder or mailbox is panic inducing for him.
The tiny terrorist nickname actually started last week when he wanted me to feed him. Since I was still in bed he went exploring until he found an antique cake plate to knock off a high cabinet. He got fed…..sigh.
In my Duolingo German course is a sentence that goes, “As long as the dog sleeps, he is cute”. Guess that can work for cats, too!
Lol. Oh, he’s adorable when he’s asleep or when he has everything just the way he likes it. 🙂
