What’s Your Happy Thought?

This biplane picture makes me think of happier days. Days of adventure and blue skies and the freedom to have places to roam and see.

When life gets rough it’s important to stop for a moment and remember something that makes you happy. Anything will do. A special person or a vacation or a morning spent listening to birdsong might be yours. Remembering that you have cheesecake in the fridge might make you happy too!

With so much cancelled and on hold, with so many people angry, hurt and dying, with so many feeling economic strain, with so many struggling in their own ways, it’s hard to not be overwhelmed and depressed by the weight of it all.

But you can train your brain to look for the good, to gravitate toward the positive and that’s what I like to do. Perspective is everything.

So I’ll ask. What’s your happy thought today? Visualize it, revisit this thought as often as you can and hold it dearly.
