The Continental

The Continental is a fabulous-from-the-outside diner in Old City Philadelphia. It seems to be closed now and I realized after snapping this photo that a person was sleeping on the stoop.

That stack of dice still turns, giving me a shred of hope the rest of the place will sometime spring to life. At this point, the sign is the best part of this place. Here’s hoping someone will polish up the place and make the pancakes the best part of the Continental.

Red In Durango

I stepped up to the corner just in time to see this colorful motorcycle cruise through the green light. The pop of red looks great against the backdrop of this historic town!

Seeing Red

The color red draws me in like a moth to flame. This is never more apparent than when scrolling through my camera roll after an antiquing trip.

The day I found the lunchboxes, I also found this adorable kiddie tractor.

Nifty wall art, reproduction but cute for a kitchen.

This fabulous red typewriter that I badly wanted. It’s the sort of typewriter that great novels should be written on!

A great Coca Cola cooler.

And an even better Coke machine.

Of course, I bought none of these things but they made for great study during my little field trip.

Is there a color or a type of object that catches your eye?

Friday Eye Candy

Here’s a pop of color to balance out all those black and whites I’ve been showing you lately. It’s also a preview for a fun story I’ll tell you soon about an old fashioned soda fountain I found last month.

Happy Friday, my friends!
