What Are They Discussing?

Anyone else remember when people dressed up to leave the house? Heck, forget dressing up. At this point, I would be happy just to make it through the grocery store without seeing people in their pajamas.

These days have passed but this is a great picture. What do we think they’re talking about? I’m guessing it’s not saltines and frozen fish!

A Long Walk…

This picture reminds me of the phrase “take a long walk off a short pier.” Not that I would offer this invitation to anyone but it is a great turn of phrase!

Forlorn

It’s been gloomy a lot here lately but this scene is simply forlorn.

It was early Friday and rain had settled in for the day. The fog was trying to lift but these bare trees against that fog were just too much to resist. What I wouldn’t have given to have my camera in the seat next to me but had to settle for capturing this with my phone.

One of these days, snow will blanket the landscape and it won’t look so sad. For now, all we can do is seek beauty in unexpected places.

Douglas, Wyoming

Douglas, Wyoming is a cute little western town and this photo pretty much sums it up. Notice the great old truck!

Ready For A Road Trip

Who wants to take a road trip? I have a couple of day trips up my sleeve this month and am dying to hit the open road!

Tell me- if you had a day free to roam anywhere you please, where would you go?

Wonder Where It Goes?

Do you ever look at a road, a river or a railroad track and just wonder where it goes? Sometimes I turn down a road just to see where it might end up.

Sometimes I look at railroad tracks and wonder who and what have traveled them. Where do they end?

I took this picture on Saturday. I was on a familiar road but one that I don’t travel very often so it was a kind of fun treat to pull over and capture this image.

Tonight I will dream of the far off places these tracks might go.
