It Would’ve Been A Great Picture

I had pulled over to have a closer look at something when this beauty went cruising by. It would be a great picture if not for that darn satellite dish in the background.

Yes, I could edit it out but that’s not my style. All these heavily photoshopped pictures you see these days feel a bit like cheating and I would prefer to stick with my imperfect reality than dishonest perfection.

Oh, the troubles of being a documentary photographer!

It’s still a fabulous car!

Sunny Skies, Flashy Cars

A pretty blue sky day is the perfect time to spot classic car. Seeing them at a car show is fun but seeing them in their natural environment out on the road is better.

As pretty as this Plymouth is, she sounded amazing too. I hope that people who own these cars know how much joy they bring to others when they’re out cruising.

Anyone Else?

Anyone else geek out when they see a vintage car on the street? I was visiting a museum on this Winchester, Virginia street when I spotted this car. There was an Australian with a giant camera photographing it as well and we agreed that it was a real gem even though the car needs some work.

I hope that I will always stop and admire vintage cars as they travel through a world that increasingly values the new over the old, the trendy over the classics, and the perfect over the quaintly flawed.
